THE CHOIR
The
choir plays an important role in the life of the Church, and has
developed a valued reputation over many years. The choir is open
to men, women, boys and girls of all ages, and we rehearse on a Friday
evening. You do not need to be able to read music to join, all we
ask is enthusiasm. We sing most Sundays at the morning and
evening services, as well as on other occasions such as weddings and
special church festivals. Some choristers wish to develop their
love of music through singing exams, as part of the voice for life
scheme, though this of course is not a requirement.
We realise
it can be quite difficult to make the decision to join the choir, so
why not have an informal word with the music director, Clare Westley,
or just come and listen in at 7.00pm at one of our rehearsals - bring a
friend if you wish. We think you will find it great fun, we enjoy
ourselves as well as producing the best music we can. And don't
worry you won't have to sing any solo's, unless of course we have a
singing superstar hidden away who joins us!
