CHURCH OF ST. MARY’S
Mary's is the Anglican (Church of England) church for Kingswinford,
west of Dudley in the West Midlands. It is the parish church and the
older of the two
churches in the Kingswinford Team, sharing its ministry with the Church
of The Ascension at Wall Heath.
Kingswinford is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086
Mary's is the oldest church in the area. It has stood here for
800 years as Kingswinford has grown from a hamlet of 100
people to a suburb of 25,000. It is a beautiful, ancient building but
is much more than that. It is here
to serve the people of Kingswinford and to be a place where people can
come and worship God. It is a sign that God hasn't forgotten people and
represents living, serving, worshipping communities of Christians.
This church belongs to all God’s people. You may be here
tourist, you may be
seeking somewhere to pray or somewhere to celebrate important events in
your life. Whatever your reasons for looking at this site we hope you
feel welcome today and that you wish to visit us again in the future.
